We're back!
We have taken a 6 month break from blogging! We just got back from Disneyland and I realized I needed to catch up and have my pictures all on here! So it may take awhile and the posts will be brief, but oh well!
Tate turned 5 years old on August 17th. He chose a golf party this year. We live a few minutes from Cherry Hill so it worked out perfect to go Miniature golfing. We had a few goodies, opened presents and headed down to golf. It turned out to be so easy! He had a blast too with his cousins and friends! On his actual birthday he got his car and then we went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner!
The decor, I wanted some sort of argyle in the mix and I think it turned out pretty good! 
Tate got a skateboard and safety gear for his birthday and he has loved it!

Preston had a work thing in Chicago this year ago so I decided to tag along for the fun! I love this city! Next to NYC, it is a favorite! I did a ton of shopping while Preston was working. I love the shopping in Chicago! Seriously, there is every store you could possible wish for! We went on a bike tour and a city tour which were great! The city has some very interesting history. We had a crazy experience in a rough part of the city and ended up in a police car, but all was ok! For the most part, we felt really safe there! We learned not to go to ghettos without a safe way of getting back to our hotel!

In the summer there are fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday over Lake Michigan
We went to a Cubs games also. It is a really cool old stadium or field or whatever you call it! 
They have apartments outside the park that have bleachers on top of them to watch the game
We had a few weeks of city parade and fireworks this year so I am combining them into one post! We started with the South Ogden days and Katelyn did a little Bonneville Laker cheer camp and then walked in the parade. She went with Paige so she loved it of course! They were darling! Tate loves parades like his Aunt Jaime! He was out in the middle of the road diving for taffies! We then went to their fireworks at night. We had a neighborhood party the weekend before the 4th and Preston set up a movie outside - I of course forgot pictures! I made one of those red, white and blue layer cakes and it was pretty cute! Ty loved it anyways! We also went to the Kaysville city parade on the 4th. it was madness!! We went to Shaun and Tonya's house for dinner and fireworks and had a blast! With the aerial fireworks we felt like every day was the fourth! Every night we would look out from our house and see tons of fireworks

We made it to the Zoo this summer. It is always a must each year. Katelyn really wanted to take her little friend, Mylee. So we headed down one morning and had a great time. The zoo is getting a lot nicer I must say, they have added some cool things. Ty was so excited about everything there, he is at such a fun age!
People always ask me if Katelyn and Tate are twins. This summer I really noticed how much they look alike. They both get so tan and their hair is so white that they really look like it! They have become such good little buddies!
For my 29th birthday Preston was so nice to take the day off. We spent the entire day with the kids, just what I wanted. Our main activity was going to the dinosaur park and then up the canyon to eat at the Oaks. We had a great day! One last birthday in my 20s!!
