This weekend we had a few fun events going on. On Saturday, Preston and I went down to SLC to go shopping and just hang out. We also enjoyed an overnight stay at the very nice Grand America. It was so fun and relaxing to just hang out with my husband. Sunday, Katelyn gave her first Primary talk. Our little Sunbeam said a little poem about Families all by herself then I helped her with the rest. I wish I would have had her memorize the whole poem. I just used a few lines from the poem because I was worried she might get stage fright, but not Katelyn! She did so great. She said the entire thing so well in front of the entire Primary. I, being the nerd I am, started to cry the first 10 seconds so I wasn't a very good helper for the end. I was so proud of her...I am always so proud of my kids when they are brave and cute. The whole primary thought she was so awesome to get up there and to it. LOVED IT!! Then yesterday we went to the FABULOUS Treehouse museum in O-town. The kids, and me, love it there. It is seriously a kid's dream - they have anything imaginable. Worth the trip here! We also did some bowling, shopping and Cafe Rio-ing. Fun times with the Steel's.
She did it much better in Church, but this is how the talk went for the most part.

A Day at the Zoo
Last week we went down to the good ol' Zoo with Sharstin and her kids. It was of course a ton of fun. Katelyn and Caleb always have grand time together. She just adores him, and why wouldn't she right, he is too cute. Tate wandered around the whole time and just checked the place out. I just love watching kids grow up.

What we've been doing
Well today, my cute talented friend Sharstin took my kids pictures. They were an absolute nightmare - I seriously was so embarrassed. It was like pulling teeth to get these kids to smile. However, amazingly Shar managed to gets some way cute ones. Here is her blog: Sharstin Miller Photography. If you need a photographer and you are in the area - she is fabulous! Thanks Shar!
And for me..I have been in a crafty mood. Preston has been down at our house lots so I have had some spare time, maybe a little too much. I thought tonighta past midnight.."seriously, is this normal?" Like these projects are urgent, but I cannot stop once I get an idea in my head.
First, some photoshopping. I made a job chart for Katelyn because it drives me crazy when she asks for so many toys at Walmart and I try to explain the money thing. Well now she has to earn it with little quarters that velcro on each chore.
I have also taken care of like half of lasts years scrapbook!! Wahoo!
Then I made some dresses for Katelyn. I saw some dresses that I loved but were very pricey so I thought I could TRY. They are definitely not as cute or professional. I won't even tell you the site so you don't mock my work.

And my last project I will show you are these containers. I love any sort of bucket, basket, or jar to put stuff in for organization. I had some scraps of paper left over and I am trying to get rid of it since I am going digital. So here they are.
If you made it through this post without tipping over from boredom Congratulations!

Is it SPRING??
We have loved this beautiful Spring weather lately and really hope it stays. It is so great to be outside and be able enjoy this warmth. Yesterday we went with Sharstin and Caleb to the Dinosaur Park. We had such a fun time; it is so fun to have the kids just run around and play and for me to have some good company too, minus the Mary Kay lady, right Shar. Later in the day we went up to Weber State's duck pond. Kinda nerve racking with Tate and his running throw, but a good time. There is the sweetest little bunch (herd, clan, flock?) of new ducklings up there, go see them soon.

What Is BLIK??

I found this fun site with lots of different vinyl designs for your wall. They have some great designs and patterns if you want a little variety in your vinyl lettering. I bought this alphabet one for our playroom and love it. I especially love the themed products for a little kids room. Some of the categories are a little wild for my taste, but very creative. I ordered it from Lumen's and so I got free shipping too! Can't beat that. Check it out here.
