We had a little birthday party for Tate tonight. I am not a huge party thrower, but this one turned out to be really fun and simple, well minus the cake. We painted boxes (houses), played pin the sign on the construction site, and of course Pinata! Tate is really into tractors, trucks, digging, etc...so he loved it! It was fun to have his cousins here to PARTY!!! He loved ALL of his gifts, thank you thank you! Here is a little (sideways) clip from the party and the invitation. And of course lots and lots of pictures. Happy Birthday Cute Boy!

Mr. Tate is Two!!
Tate turned two years old this past Sunday. I can't believe our little boy is two, we sure love our guy! We woke up and had his favorite breakfast, you can see how much he LOVES it! In the evening we went up with my family to a camp site and had dinner. The kids had a blast just playing around and sitting around a campfire.

Provo Half Marathon
WooHOO!! Kendra and I ran in the Provo Half Marathon race yesterday. It was so great! We were so sad Meg couldn't run this one with us, but for sure next time! We went down Friday night to stay at Meg's and it for sure was one of the funniest overnighters I have ever experienced. From the hobo in charge of the race, the two married men also staying at Meg's, and the bus drivers swearing at us we definitely made some fun memories. I really don't think I have ever laughed so hard! We only ended up getting 4 hours of sleep the night before due to all the craziness but we survived! Kendra was so awesome in her FIRST race..I was proud Kenj! It went really fast and was so fun to run with such a good friend! I can't wait for the next one!

She had a bad day...
Well if I haven't returned your phone call the past couple days this is why. Our poor little Kate had a nasty fall. We were leaving our neighborhood pool and I was carrying Tate and heard a terrible cry and turned around and saw that she fell hard right on her face. My initial thought was she had split her lip and all I could see what blood until I saw the entire large tooth on the sidewalk. So I threw them in the car and called Preston. It was just so yucky and heartbreaking. I am sure by now some of you are wondering how I didn't pass out. Well I had to lay down after I cleaned her up a little bit. I just had to keep saying to myself it would only make things ten times worse if I fainted. Anyways, my mom hurried over to help with Tate and I met Preston and a local dentist at about 6:00 at night. He checked it out and she got the entire tooth out and he thinks the other teeth around them are going to die soon because she knocked them pretty good too. Her mouth is pretty scraped up inside and is very tender. So we will have to see what happens if we have to get a bridge or something when the time comes. Through this all she was such a champ. After the dentist, we went to Target right after and got her Troy and Gabriella doll and she was so thrilled. The tooth fairy came and was extra kind to her since it was a special tooth. She has been in quite a bit of pain, but she is sure being tough. I think the toughest part is not being able to eat much without it hurting real bad, she loves smoothies though! It was so terrible and sad to see her go through it. I just hate to see my kids get hurt. I know that's what kids do, but it broke my heart to see my sweet little girl be in pain. We just hope the worst is behind us. She looks pretty cute with her new toothless smile though! We love you Katelyn! And thanks especially to my parents and Jaime's fam for helping her through this. And thanks to the future dentist Drew for all his knowledge.

Viva Las Vegas

A few weeks ago we went down to St. George to see family. I will get to those pictures later. While we were down there we went to Vegas for Preston's work. We got to stay at the luxurious Wynn and enjoy the 110 temps. Preston was gone most of the day but we had so much fun anyways, just swimming, shopping and relaxing. Tate loved the window in our hotel room and pretty much just stared outside. Katelyn was in heaven with the huge bathroom and practiced getting pretty all day. We also went to the cool Shark exhibit at the Mandalay Bay and it was awesome. Gotta Love Sin City!

Drive In = A Must Do for Family
So the other night The Steel Family went to the local drive in - that's right, they are not only a place for teenagers to make out. It was so fun! Really Truly! We saw Wall-e which was cute and the whole idea of watching in the truck outside was so great! Tate and Preston fell asleep..shocker huh! But me and Katelyn watched the whole thing and we loved it. The place was packed too...we're bringing drive-ins back!

4th of July Fun

whoa, this is way late. I am posting somewhat for my benefit so I can remember what went on. I love the fourth and love to hit up a good small town parade, this year was the good ole Riverdale. Katelyn and I made the bags the night before and she was very proud of them. We did some swimming in the afternoon and my sister always has a fun little party with food and fireworks which we always look forward to. And back at home it was so fun because we could see about 6 city firework shows from our house! Love it!

Tagged...Memories!
I thought this was a fun game from Kaesy and Rachael, everyone who reads this awesome blog should play! I have been out of the blogging game for a while, hopefully soon I will get with it. And yea, we are in our house!
The rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
