We had a few weeks of city parade and fireworks this year so I am combining them into one post! We started with the South Ogden days and Katelyn did a little Bonneville Laker cheer camp and then walked in the parade. She went with Paige so she loved it of course! They were darling! Tate loves parades like his Aunt Jaime! He was out in the middle of the road diving for taffies! We then went to their fireworks at night. We had a neighborhood party the weekend before the 4th and Preston set up a movie outside - I of course forgot pictures! I made one of those red, white and blue layer cakes and it was pretty cute! Ty loved it anyways! We also went to the Kaysville city parade on the 4th. it was madness!! We went to Shaun and Tonya's house for dinner and fireworks and had a blast! With the aerial fireworks we felt like every day was the fourth! Every night we would look out from our house and see tons of fireworks
Kate and Paige, such cute little cousins!

The Hogle Zoo
We made it to the Zoo this summer. It is always a must each year. Katelyn really wanted to take her little friend, Mylee. So we headed down one morning and had a great time. The zoo is getting a lot nicer I must say, they have added some cool things. Ty was so excited about everything there, he is at such a fun age!

Cute kids!
People always ask me if Katelyn and Tate are twins. This summer I really noticed how much they look alike. They both get so tan and their hair is so white that they really look like it! They have become such good little buddies!

My birthday
For my 29th birthday Preston was so nice to take the day off. We spent the entire day with the kids, just what I wanted. Our main activity was going to the dinosaur park and then up the canyon to eat at the Oaks. We had a great day! One last birthday in my 20s!!

Hawaii 2011
ALOHA!! Preston and I just got back from a week long trip to Maui aka Paradise! We loved every minute of it! My family watched the kids for the first part of the week and then Preston's Mom flew up for the last part! Our kids were under the weather so it wasn't the easiest babysitting! Thank you so so much! We greatly appreciate it! So here is all the we did...warning there are tons of pictures!
This was the day after the tsumani warning...whoa, what a night! We got in at about 10 at night and the pilot said their was an earthquake in Japan and a tsunami warning. So we get driving to our hotel and it was sorta chaos. Everyone was filling up on gas and groceries and heading towards the middle of the island. Then at 3 AM they let off this huge siren all over the island. After that every half hour it went off all night. They evacuated half our hotel, but we were lucky to be on a higher floor. And they we woke up and it was all fine! Crazy!
At our resort, the Honua Kai
Preston thought it was a good idea to buy these tasty treats..mmm!
A Monk Seal came up onto our beach one morning
This was beautiful little area called Iao Valley, it was so green and tropical!
We went on the most amazing whale watching boat! We seriously saw about 40 big whales. Oh gosh, it was so awesome! They would just come up right by our boat and blow or splash..so crazy!

We went to the top of a crater and went for little hike. Then we stayed until sunset, so pretty!

A beautiful beach by Kapalua
Kapalua Golf Course...next time Preston will golf!

A waterfall on the Road to Hana, which we didn't make it all the way to! So long of a drive, but I am sure it is amazing!

We went to this cutest little town called Paia and I loved this church. The whole town was so darlng!

LOVE DAY!!
We had a fabulous Valentines Day/Week this year! It is becoming one of my very favorite holidays, it is so fun for the little kids especially! I decided to throw Katelyn's little friends a party this year. We had really fun at it. We did some little crafts, bracelets, and ate some pizza and treats. I wasn't too on the ball with taking pictures during the party, but we had a good time. We had so much fun that I decided to have another party with adults. I just kept all of our stuff out for a few days. We ate a big dinner with friends and then played Just Dance on the wii. On Valentines Day we did the usual festivities but the main event was taking the kids to buy their very own goldfish! This is the first pets we have ever had in our home so we will see how we do. Carl and Lucy are still alive so that is a good sign I suppose! I didn't take a ton of pictures, but here are some that I got. Hope you all had a great love day!
All the yummy treats, we have all eaten a ridiculous amount of sugar this week

Katelyn and her friend Gracie
Those little babies on the right are meringue cookies I made, they were a big pain in the neck but they turned out pretty!
The craft projects...this is the only picture I got!
The kids made big valentines for Daddy

Our new friends, Carl and Lucy
Preston bought me and Katelyn some flowers to go on our new table, so pretty!

Tate's Football Party
We had a little Superbowl get together a few weeks back. Tate really wanted it to be his own Football party so that's what it was :) My family all came over and watched the game and ate TONS of yummy food! We loved the commercials and the half time show with the Black Eyed Peas!
