Steel Family Reunion..oh man I am behind

At the end of July we were able to go to St. George for the Steel reunion! The first night we went to Tuacahn and saw Tarzan. The following day we went camping up in Pine Valley! We were all having fun until monsoonal rain came and kinda ruined the fun! We ended up packing up and going back to St. George and having more fun there! The Steel's always include tons of fun activities for the kids and adults! On Saturday we went to the Fancy Nancy tea party with the Atkin family! It was darling as always! We also did lots of swimming and just hanging out together!

Ty at 8 Months!

Well my sweet baby is 8 months old...what in the world? The time has gone by so fast! We seriously love this baby! He couldn't be any sweeter, happier, or cuter! If I could have more just like him, I would give The Duggers some competition! He is getting really busy! He has been crawling for almost two months and is pulling himself up. He for sure is my fastest little baby so far...we have to keep our eye on him! We can't wait for the next months to watch him grow even more!

So to keep with the tradition, here are 8 things about Ty right now!
1. He growls a lot. When he wants something like food or to get through a tight spot...quite often! I am blaming it on Tarzan at Tuacahn because he started right after that!
2. He leans in to people for them to hold him, then he wants me to take him right back.
3. He likes to dive in pools. He hasn't learned the fear side of water yet.
4. He loves Graham crackers
5. He smiles all the time at pretty much anyone
6. He does Patty Cake but can't quite get his hands to meet together most of the time
7. He still loves him some garment and thumb to go to bed
8. He is getting a teeny tiny little bottom tooth and it really hasn't phased him, let's hope for the same luck with the other teeth!

Sweet Trip to the Candy Shop!

A few weeks ago me and my sister and mom took a trip down to Salt Lake to the Sweet's Candy Factory. We stopped in Centerville for some tasty pizza and then filled our tummies even more with candy! We learned how gummy bears, jelly beans, taffy, orange sticks and lots more...it was like a live version of Unwrapped! We had a really fun day!

They were very strict about hat wearing - even Ty, who has only a few hairs had to wear one!
The worker told us this was the cutest backdrop for a picture, not so convinced!

Stadium of Fire and 4th of July weekend

We had a great Independence Day weekend. We first went to the Kaysville Parade on Saturday morning and it was LAME! I wouldn't recommend it, unless you want to be around the largest masses of people and don't like candy!

My kids favorite part of these holidays is putting our flag out front! We were able to get to go to the Stadium of Fire this year again. We loved the entire show again. This year Carrie Underwood was there and she was great! We all had a great time! We went to the Pizza Factory before and ate, which turned out to not be the best idea. But we made it on time and had a wonderful night! They really put on such a good show! Thanks Mom and Dad!

South Ogden Days

This past weekend we hung out in O-town for the local festivities! Katelyn did a cute little Bonneville cheerleader thing and then walked in the parade. She did it with her cousin Paige, and they had a great time! They were darling! She has been chanting "LL LAK EE ERS, LAKERS, Go Lakers" all week, you Bonneville friends know what I mean! We went to the parade in the morning and the fireworks that evening! I love this time of year!
Tate takes his parade candy very seriously, almost as much as Jaime! I wish I had a picture to show her diving after the taffies!Ty was loving his Papa and his first donut!

Vegas Baby

We went down a few weeks ago to Las Vegas with my family. We stayed at the Excalibur which is so perfect for kids, and so affordable! We had so much fun swimming, playing games and just hanging out. While we were there, Preston turned 32 years old! Whoa Baby! We went to the Rio buffet for dinner to celebrate. The kids had a blast playing with there cousins and Nana and Papa! Thanks Mom and Dad!

We went to the Fremont Street Experience and watched the American Pie show, not the movie American Pie! It was darling, we all loved it!

Ty 6 Months Old!!

Ty turned 6 months a few weeks ago! He is actually almost 7 months now...wow, time has flown! We are so grateful for him and the joy he brings our family! Here 6 current things about Ty:
1. He loves Garments. The minute he gets a hold of one he puts his thumb in his mouth and goes to sleep!
2. He is all over the place. He goes from one area to the next really quickly.
3. He has the biggest smile and cutest dimple.
4. He sleeps 10 hours at night and takes a 4 hour nap during the day!
5. He is loving baby food, his favorite are pears
6. He really likes my Dad, his Papa!
7. He is the sweetest happiest little thing I have ever seen!
8. He loves when Kate sings "five little monkeys"
9. He loves when Tate does a little dance for him
10. He loves ME the very most, why wouldn't he! I think it's because I have the food!

Ty is 6 months old now and has been doing this funny little army crawl thing for about a month! He is so determined to get to things, it is so cute! He is getting pretty fast too! I have left him alone for a minute and come back and found him way across the house! don't mind my annoying voice in the video..why is it that your own voice makes you cringe!
