Snackage and a trip to the grocery store

In the winter I try to pump my kids with as much vitamin c as possible to boost their immune systems. We make a lot of smoothies for breakfast, eat oranges, strawberries...anything with good amounts of nutrients. Well I came across these yummy canned peaches in the grocery store and they are fortified just for kids with vitamin A and C and calcium, pretty good for a canned fruit. And the best part is my kids LOVE them! They usually don't eat much canned, but these are a hit. Give them a try for a healthy 2009!

If you ever have issues with your kids in the grocery store, here is a fun way to keep them entertained and it is a good opportunity for them to learn. They are kinda like bingo cards, all you need to do is print them out, laminate them and have a marker handy. When you get an item in your cart or see an item, they your kid can cross it off. You can either play bingo by getting for in a row or just cross them all off. On the plain one you can create your own card with the things you need that week from the ad. Genius eh!
