We were so lucky to have the chance to travel to the fabulous NYC. I have always had a true love for this place and have been wanting to go for awhile. My brother is a chef there so we wanted to visit him too. We had a great time together, but were very very worn out. The kids were fantastic but lots of work to take around the city. Katelyn's favorite part was of course The American Girl store and Tate loved the subway and Yankees game. Lots of pictures for 3 days of traveling I know, but it is New York!
We went to a darling little lunch at the American Girl store, save up now if you are planning on attending, YIKES!
Meet the newest member of our family, Kit, she now goes everywhere with us.

Boom Boom Pow
A while ago, I heard Katelyn singing this crazy songs and I thought it was pretty funny. Sorry the sound isn't very good, I am sure you have probably heard it by now anyways, she is rocking to Fergie! Next time you see Katelyn and Tate ask them to perform it - they LOVE it! Tate has a part too, but he was being shy. Katelyn had just gone to a Ballerina birthday, she doesn't wear this every day.
lots of NYC Pictures to come...

Fourth of July and STADIUM OF FIRE!!
Our 4th started out with the fabulous Riverdale Parade. The kids absolutely loved it as always, these smaller town parades are the best. Tate especially loved the fire trucks and waving to each float or car as they went by. The kids got tons of candy - we are still eating tootsie rolls and taffy.
And the most exciting part of the day was the Stadium of Fire!! It was so awesome! If you haven't been you really should go one year. They put on a killer show. This year Shh-daisy and the Jonas Brothers were there and they were great. I am now an official Jo Bro fan! Katelyn absolutely loved them, knew all the songs and rocked out the entire time. The firework show was absolutely awesome too, I can't say enough about how great it was. We went with most of my family and had such a fun night.
We had a brief rain storm but bundled up.

Random Happenings
Here is what we have been up to this last few weeks. We are absolutely loving summer, and hope the warm weather comes back soon. We are still happy with 70s though!
I turned 27 years old...Wowzers! We went to Salt Lake on the front runner on my birthday, we had a great day down there.
Preston turned 31 this month too, old man!
We got Lagoon Season Passes again this year and we are so excited. This is Tate on his favorite ride.
We went to the Hill Air Force Base show and it was so awesome. The kids loved it when the Thunderbirds flew right over us, SO cool!
Katelyn has a new love of Potato bugs, every time we are at a park or on a walk she picks all of them up and plays with them. She is very careful not to hurt them she says.
And we have been absolutely thrilled to go outside and play. Tate especially could stay out for hours. If you haven't gotten one of these for your kids at the dollar store, they are a fabulous way to keep them entertained.

Ogden Half Marathon
This past Saturday I was one of the many people who ran the Ogden Half Marathon. It was a really fun little race. I didn't do too swell, being prego and all, but I finished and had a fun time. My friend Sharstin pretty much dominated the race. This Marathon is really a pretty course and very well organized. Way to go O-town! It was fun to see every one up there, congrats to all of you! I am excited to get back on track after the babe is born.
Preston forgot the camera, thank goodness. Not looking so hot. So this is the picture I have. I am not sure why my legs look so large, right now that is about the only small thing on me. I like the man with the intense farmer tan behind me.

Mother's Day is a Special Day

This past mother's day was so great. I was able to go up to Park City with my cute friends from High School and do some shopping and hanging out. We stayed at a fun house in Midway and had a great time. Preston was so nice to watch the kids while I was gone, it was a great little getaway. For Mother's Day Preston bought me a Wii and we are loving it. I have always wanted one so I thought this would be a perfect occasion. He also made us a yummy dinner and dessert. My kids were so sweet to me all day; Katelyn picked about 40 flowers to give to me too. We had a nice little relaxing day to ourselves.
I love being a mother so much. My cute little kiddos bring so much joy and happiness to my life.
And we have decided to have another cute kiddo join our family. So if you haven't heard the news, I am Expecting #3. I am due November 26 - I am about 13 weeks along I think. It was a surprise little babe as always, but we are really excited. Ready or Not right?

Family Pictures

This past week my friend Shar took our family pictures. She did such a great job, we are really happy with them. Tate was so ridiculously naughty - I was seriously embarrassed. It is practically a miracle or pure talent that she was able to get a good one of him. You can check them all out at her photography site HERE. Thanks so much Shar!

Eggcelent Easter!!!
I am just not in the blogging mood lately, so here is our Easter a few weeks ago. We had just returned from Hawaii so we were a little too tired to go to St. George, our first time ever not being down there. We had a good time anyways!
Katelyn's pretty dress

Tate is not a crowd kinda guy. He was getting frustrated at the Egg Hunt. He did much better the next time.
Miss Kate all fancied up
Mr. T all fancied up for Nana and Papa's hunt..oh dear!
Some of our eggs!
So happy with his prizes! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fun hunt!
And we had a big Easter at our house with my family! Thanks for coming!

Hawaiian Vacation
Preston and I were so lucky to have the chance to spend one week in Hawaii! Preston won the trip for work so we couldn't wait to go together. We stayed at the JW Marriott at Ko Olina, it is on the West side of Oahu. We had such a great time seeing all the sites, relaxing, laying out, and just hanging out together. It was nice to not have the kids around on vacation, but we really missed them. The kids did great at home; we were blessed with 3 great babysitters. Thank you 3 so much, our kids had the best time! We really appreciate it!
Preston getting his First Pedi, I got one too but didn't think it was necessary to take a picture.
The View from our balcony
Preston found a good snorkeling place near out hotel. He saw tons of fish and some turtles again. I layed out!
The Polynesian Culture Center
Preston at the Dole Plantation Plant
In front of the Laie Temple, the temple is closed for renovation for a long time so we couldn't go, we were bummed.
Famous Haleiwa Shaved Ice
Our big Turtle on the North Shore. There were huge turtles all over the beach, all the other people didn't think anything of all these turtles so they must be pretty common, but we were excited to see them.
The North Shore
This is at a Malasadas stand, they are little poofy donut thing. They are a huge hit in Hawaii, pretty tasty!
We took this for Tate. Elmo on Waikiki trying to get some tips, we were probably the only ones who gave him some since there were much more creative performers out.
At the top of the Diamond Head Crater
The Hotel's private Lagoon.
