Let the traditions begin

Halloween is getting close so it is time to get into the festivities. Each year we do one of these gingerbread haunted houses the first FHE of the month. We kept seeing them in the stores and Katelyn really couldn't contain herself anymore. She loves to make it and eat it! Tate ate pretty much every jelly bean, and then he wanted to do something else. Even though Halloween is not my favorite holiday, I am excited for the other Halloween festivities that we have coming up too. I am working on the costumes and can't wait to see my kids in them. I think they will be so cute! Anyone for a party???

This just in...the Hills is LAME!!!

If there remains any faithful viewers of The Hills, let me know what you think. I have been an avid viewer of Laguna and The Hills, I dare say EVERY episode. Well I am very disturbed by the stupidness of this season. I know it has always been fairly lame and fake, but I can't watch anymore. Am I the only one who is thinking this? Good thing lots of other faves are coming back for my viewing pleasure. And I can't wait for Paris Hilton's New BFF!!! What shows are you tuning into?

Lagoon..it's what fun is!

Sad to say our Lagoon days are pretty much over. All we had left is Frightmares which could be cool. We had such a fun summer this year with our season passes to Lagoon. If you live in the area and your kids love rides and awesomeness, you should consider these. And I too love it - I even went on Wicked!!! luckily there are no pictures of me riding that thing right Jaim! We went a ton and definitely got our money's worth. Here are some pictures throughout the summer.

PS. It is late and I don't feel like editing these pics. Hence the red eye that my kiddos always have in pictures.

caught RED handed

The other day I was cleaning out my drawers in our bathroom and in one of them noticed a huge stash of dried up wipes..hmm, wonder who has been hiding them??? If you didn't know, Tate has this unusual thing with dried up baby wipes. He puts them between his binkie and upper lip, under his nose, as seen in the picture. Well I threw these ones away that he had been hiding. Anyways, today the kids and I were playing in Katelyn's room and all of a sudden he dashed off like he had someone important to go. After a few minutes I called his name, then Katelyn did. And we went towards the bathroom and he was in there and he was shutting the door in our face. A little early for that!! Well we got in and we found his TREASURE! I guess he can keep them there for awhile after all his hard work. He is such a funny guy.

My New Best Friend...

I LOVE this! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I found this site of an event planner and she is fabulous! The site is Amy Atlas and she is so creative. It is my dream for one day to throw big parties and have this kind of set up of food. I am totally going to try to copy some of her ideas. Check out these yummy spreads.

Casa de Steel

Well, here is it. We have been in our new house for about two months and we are loving it. If you haven't been here yet, the invite still stands. We would love to have you all, not at the same time, come visit. We still have a few things like the kitchen backsplash and shutters, but they will be coming. It was so fun, and tiring, to put all this together and pick every single thing out. I had the easy job! My talented husband (and father-in-law) made all the cabinets and a lot of our furniture. Preston did all the wood floor and tile - and some of the electric stuff. I love to brag about him, because he really is so talented. If you've wondered why I've kept him around, now you know. JK! It has been a lot of work, but it is worth it. Hope to have you here soon!

Little School Girls

We decided not to do Preschool this year for Katelyn since she has a while until Kindergarten. We were planning on it and just decided last week not to. So Jaime and I are going to do a little get together weekly and do a lesson. She is also starting a playgroup in the ward so I think she will be fine. Anyways, she has been pretty excited for Preschool, but she was so cute and excited to go with Paige to "school". As long as she can take her backpack, she will be happy with whatever! I am just hoping I don't regret sending her.

Wicked Fun Carnival

My sister threw a fabulous Carnival birthday yesterday for her little girl Paige. If you ever need a birthday idea this was so fun. The kids all loved it. She had a fish pond, face painting, bounce house (tramp), big blowup slide, cotton candy, popcorn, corndogs, and lots of cute games...pretty much everything at a carnival. And look how darling the cake is too. Good work Jaim! And happy birthday Paigey, we LOVE you!

And on a completely unrelated note, this is Katelyn modeling one of the new headbands I made for her. She is pretty funny!

Down at The Farm and some St. George fun...

We headed down South this past weekend for a little vacation. We stayed the first night at my Grandma's farm in New Harmony. It is the funnest place ever, we spent so many millions of days down there growing up, it was fun to go back and take our kids there. The kids loved four-wheelers, the horses, and watering system. Tate was especially fond of this massive hose. While the little ones were sleeping our family and the Larsen's went up to Kolob for a hike. We didn't make it quite to the end but it was beautiful and the kids did awesome. I am excited to take my family back there ever summer and create some fun memories.
We had a great time in St. George as always. Preston's family had a reunion which was very fun. It is always great to see family and let the kids have a chance to play with such cute little cousins. Whoa, picture overload!!

Mini Golfing in St. George

One of the events down there was Mini Golfing which was a hit with the kids. We have never been as a family so we were glad Wade and Julie thought of it. Tate was especially excited about it - well he was a bit out of control you could say. Anything involving balls and something to hit with he goes wild. He is such a funny boy. You can definitely see the difference in he and his sis! Katelyn's posing is getting out of hand!
